Champion for Vision
Wellness Program
SEE WELL. FEEL WELL. BE WELL.™
The Eyesight Concepts Champion for Vision Wellness Program was created to empower individuals and communities through vision wellness education, prevention, awareness, and supportive eye care resources.
Founded by Dr. Lachionte’ Culpepper, OD, MS, this program was developed to help people better understand their eyes, vision, and overall ocular wellness while encouraging proactive and informed eye care decisions that support long-term quality of life.
At Eyesight Concepts we believe vision wellness goes beyond simply seeing clearly. Healthy eyes can positively impact learning, confidence, productivity, independence, comfort, and overall well-being.
The mission of the Champion for Vision Wellness Program is to:
- Promote vision wellness education
- Encourage preventative eye care habits
- Support healthy vision practices
- Increase awareness about ocular health
- Empower individuals to make informed eye care decisions
- Provide access to educational and wellness-focused resources
- Positively impact communities through outreach and education
Many eye conditions and systemic health conditions can develop silently without obvious warning signs. Changes in vision are not always caused by needing glasses or contact lenses. In many cases, blurry vision and visual discomfort may be associated with underlying ocular or systemic conditions which is why vision wellness matters.
Routine eye examinations may assist in the early detection and management of conditions such as:
- Dry eye syndrome
- Ocular allergies
- Cataracts
- Glaucoma
- Diabetes
- Hypertension
- Digital eye strain
- Other ocular and systemic health concerns
Through education and awareness, individuals can become stronger advocates for their own eye health and wellness.
The Eyesight Concepts Patient Education Series was developed to provide practical educational tools that help patients and communities better understand eye care, eye health, and vision wellness.
Educational titles include:
- How to Have an Enjoyable and Effective Eye Exam
- Will Ordering Glasses and Contacts Online Work For You?
- The QUICK EYE Guide
- Additional educational resources coming soon
